Abstract

To investigate the chemical constituents from ethyl acetate extracts of the leaves of Acer ginnala Maxim, solvent extraction, Silica gel and Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography were used for isolation and their structures were identified by means of spectroscopic and chemical data.Fourteen compounds were isolated and identified as quercetin-3-O-α-L-(3″-galloyl)-rhamnoside(1), 5,7,2′,3′,4′-pentahydroxy flavone(2), kaempferol(3),kaempferol-3-O-β-D-galactopyranoside(4), quercetin-3-O-β-D-lyxoside(5), quercetin(6), quercetin-3-O-β-D-galactopyranoside(7), quercetin-3-O-α-L-(2″-galloyl)-arabinopyranosid(8), quercetin-3-O-α-L-(2″-galloyl)-rhamnoside(9), kaempferol-3-O-α-L-(2″-galloyl)-rhamnoside(10), gallic acid(11), methyl gallate(12), acertannin(13) and β-sitosterol(14).Compounds 4 and 8 are isolated from the plants in genus Acer for the first time and compounds 1,2,5,9 and 10 are isolated from the plants Acer ginnala Maxim. for the first time.
