Abstract
The double arch bridge is a usual bridge type for medium-and-small-span. However, because of the defect of structure, design and construction at that time, the operating double arch bridge appears many questions now. In this paper, by way of example a bridge, through field investigation of the defects and concrete strength, structure calculations, it is hoped to evaluate the work state and judge carrying capacity of the bridge. Through analyzing the calculation results, the measure to strengthen the arch bridge is suggested. By the way, the results here delivered maybe helpful for the same kind of reinforced concrete arch bridge's refreshing and maintenance.
