Abstract

[Objective]The study aimed to systematically analyze the chemical components of flue-cured tobacco stored in the storehouse of Chuanyu Tobacco Corporation.[Method]With 705 samples of flue-cured tobacco stored in the storehouse of Chuanyu Tobacco Corporation from 2000 to 2006 as materials, the chemical components in the different positions of flue-cured tobacco leaves from 5 tobacco-growing areas were detected systematically and the detected data was analyzed by using descriptive statistics.[Result]The content variation of reducing sugar and total sugar was the least among the lower leaf of tobacco from the tobacco-growing areas in the upper and middle reaches of the Changjiang River, with the variation coefficient being 6.99%and 7.75%resp.,but that was the most from the tobacco-growing areas in north, with the variation coefficient being 26.74%and 25.89%resp.The content variation of total nitrogen was bigger among the middle leaf of tobacco from the tobacco-growing areas in Southeast and Huanghuai, with the variation coefficient being 13.67%and 12.48%resp.The potassium content in the lower leaf of tobacco was the highest from the tobacco-growing areas in Southeast, with the average content of 3.62%. The potassium content in the upper leaf of tobacco was the lowest from the tobacco-growing areas in north, with the average content of 1.26%. The chlorine content was all under 1%in the different positions of the tobacco in different tobacco-growing areas. The content variation of protein in the lower leaf of tobacco from the upper and middle reaches of Changjiang River, with the variation coefficient of 4.33%.[Conclusion] This study provided the theoretical reference for making cigarette formula.
