Abstract
The prime farmland protection is the core content of cultivated land protection, it is very important to ensure our country's food security, to maintain social stability, and to promote the development of socio-economic better and fastly. In this paper, taking Akesu City as a case, based on the results of farmland classification, with the help of overlay analysis of GIS, we can superimpose the distribution map of prime farmland on the map of farmland classification, and analyze the impact of the development of socio-economic, the location of cultivated land and the policy factor on space distribution of prime farmland, then we obtain the scientific and rational result of space distribution of prime farmland.
