Psychological reaction and nursing of chronic hemodialssis patients in various periods

Objective To investigate the psychological reaction of chronic hemodialysis patients in various periods and observe the effect of psychological nursing on mentality of the patients .Methods 83 chronic hemodialysis patients were enrolled and randomly divided into observation and control groups.The Zung Depression Chart and Hamilton Anxiety Chart questionnaire were employed to estimate the depression and anxiety status.It was repeated after three months of psychological nursing.Results Different levels of depression and anxiety were observed among before and different periods of hemodialysis. The scores of Zung Depression Chart and Hamilton Anxiety Chart for observation group decrease after nursing interference of three months with no remarkable change for the control group.Conclusions Psychological health education 15 essential for chronic hemodialysis patients keeping healthy psychological state and optimistic emotional state and adapting to new role in life and new life style due to hemodialysis.
