Abstract
Being faced with the complexity in manufacturing environment, products, manufacturing systems and manufacturing processes, a virtual manufacturing system is used to integrate multiple aspects of an enterprise to realize coordination, improvement, reengineering and development. Based on the analysis of the functions of the virtual manufacturing system, a system architecture is put forward. The distributed cooperation system based on a blackboard control system and the integration of the manufacturing enterprise based on the virtual manufacturing system are also discussed.
