Effects of Long-shoot Pruning on Growth and Fruit Quality of Peach

This paper studied the effects of long-shoot pruning on the bearing branch growth and fruit quality of peach.The results indicated that: comparing with the conventional pruning,long-shoot pruning could decrease the proportion of long and medium bearing branches of peach,increase the proportion of short bearing branches and posy branches,and enhance the average weight of single fruit and the content of soluble solids in the fruit.
