Analysis of Present Status and Strategies of Cross-cultural Language Teaching

One of the key problems to be solved in English teaching nowadays is to foster the ability of cross-cultural communication.In practical English teaching Cross-cultural education is faced with the difficulties such as the cultural teaching itself,the imbalance of the teachers' and students' cultural awareness,the monotonous teaching contents and testing and evaluation problems.Faced with this situation,we should adopt positive countermeasures,incorporating the reasonable and effective teaching activities with students' learning experience and practice,combining the consolidation of language ability with the improvement of cultural awareness.These methods can help improve the ability of the cross-cultural communication of the students.
