On the Essence of the Evaluating Systems towards the Vanguard Character of Party Members in Institutions of Higher Learning

Under the guidance of Deng Xiaoping's Theory and the thought of Three Represents,and according to the requirements in the constitution of the party,President Hu Jintao put forward the outlook on scientific development,socialist concept of honor,and primary requirements for the vanguard character of party members in this new era.Considering the actual situations,the evaluating systems towards the vanguard character of party members in institutions of higher learning may be summarized as six indices: the ideal and faith,learning,party spirit,work,discipline,and behavior style.
