The application patterns of woody green plants in Guangzhou based on information theory

By the combination of point survey and surface survey,the status of woody green plants in Guangzhou was investigated.On the basis of the investigation,the application patterns of woody green plants were researched by Shannon information theory.The results showed that the woody green plants in Guangzhou were total 2512 species.The information volume of 10 kinds from different sources was in order of Australia plantNorth America temperate plantAsia tropical plantWest Asia Southern Europe Mediterranean plantAfrica tropical plantAsia temperate planttropical American plantChina subtropical-tropical plantChina temperate-subtropical plantGuangdong native plant.And the information volume of 3 kinds from different application types was in order of traditional typerecent typepotential type.The exotic woody green plants in Guangzhou had more even distribution and extensive application.The native plants in Guangzhou were numerous but most were the type of potential,which were not applied as extensively as the exotic plants.The amount of traditional type was less than the potential type,but it had more extensive application and even distribution.The woody green plants in Guangzhou had abundant types and extensive resources,but the exotic plants of which were applied too much in urban afforestation,the native plants were abundant but not applied extensively,and the potential type were numerous but applied on a very small scale.
