Abstract

This paper deals with the transpiration characteristics of locust seedling and the relationship between transpiration rate and its influencing factors under different soil droughts. The results showed that soil water had important effect on transpiration rate, and transpiration rate decreased with soil water decreasing. The daily mean value of transpiration rate from July to September was in order of normal soil water treatmentlight drought treatmentmiddle drought treatmentserious drought treatment.Stoma diffuse resistance increased with soil water decreasing. The daily mean value of stoma diffuse resistance from July to September was in order of serious drought treatmentmiddle drought treatmentlight drought treatmentnormal soil water treatment. In the end,we got regression models of transpiration rate of locust seedling with its affecting factors, and there existed a remarkable relationship between transpiration rate and light intensity and stoma diffuse resistance under different soil water conditions. Also there existed a remarkable relationship between transpiration rate and air temperature under normal soil water treatment.
