Abstract

Objective:To explore the efficacy and side effect of Aripiprazole and Risperidone in the treatment of schizophrenia.Method:63 patients met CCMD-3 first onset schizophrenia were randomly divided into two groups Risperidone group and aripiprazloe group. The treatment course is 6 weeks. The positive and negative symptoms scale(PANSS) was used to evaluate the efficacy, while the treatment emergent symptom scale(TESS) was used to assess the side effects.Result:Aripiprazole group significant efficiency and the effective rate was 87.1% and 61.3%,the risperidone group were 62.5% and 84.4%,two groups of curative effect(P0.05) is similar.Negative symptoms factor has dropped significantly 2 weeks late in Aripiprazole group and that is 4 weeks late in Risperidone group.Extrapyramidal reactions, weight gain, menstruation change in Aripiprazole group is less than Risperidone group. Conclusion:Aripiprazole is similar with Risperidone in treatments with first onset schizophrenia patients, side effect is less negative symptoms improve quickly.
