Abstract
The sawing facial defect of the rail is analyzed by SEM.The defect was caused by the cracked force due to the un- balance support of the rail during sawing and was not the inclusion or metallurgical defect in the steel.The same problem can be ef- fectively avoided by fastening the rail.
