Abstract
The root cause of passenger car equivalent's difference is the performance of different vehicles.Vehicle performance simulation method is adopted and performance of the vehicle under load, slope and slope length is attained.Micro-simulation experiment is designed and the speed change on slope is simulated by setting the desired speed. With the theory model method, passenger car equivalent form based on vehicle load, slope and slope length is calculated. The research found when a vehicle drives up hills, the PCE increases as the slope, slope length and vehicle load increases, but the rate of increase is slow down;when a vehicle drives down hills, the PCE increases as slope length increases and slope length sensitivity to slope length rather than vehicle load and slope. No matter how the loading conditions, large trucks' PCE is generally higher than the recommended value of the relevant standards.
