Abstract

Objective To investigate the intake status of diet nutrients in population with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM) in Guangzhou, and explore the relationship between the status and the incidence of T2DM.Methods We chose first-diagnosed and control cases of T2DM,processed the questionnaire investigation using semiquantitative food frequency questionnaire, and measured TC,TG,HDL,LDL and processed general body examination at the same time, and analyzed the differences between the two groups. Results The intakes of daily energy, fat, protein, and diet cholesterin, serum TG,systolic pressure and diastolic pressure were higher in case group than that in control group(P0.05),while the intake of diet fiber was lower significantly in case group(P=0.011).The differences between the two groups in the aspects of the intakes of carbohydrate, serum TC,HDL-C and LDL-C were not significant(P0.05).Conclusion The risk of T2DM will decrease by controlling energy intake, depressing the ratio of fatty energy. The dietary pattern is not in reason in this area and the prevalence of T2DM is serious, which need to enhance control.
