On theory and policy for the massification of Chinese higher education

Abstract

The process of higher education massification includes the increase in quantity and the change in quality, with unbalanced development in appearance. The prerequisite for higher education massification is the diversification of school running patterns, the diversification of teaching quality as its core. Higher education massification prompt the higher education integrated in the system of life education. The policy of higher education massification should answer questions on scale developing speed, financing investment, reasonable development and allocation of resources, employment of the graduates, etc.
