Abstract

Huining dialect belongs to the Longzhong subgroup of Zhongyuan Mandarin.In the Huining dialect,all characters which come from Middle Chinese Ping tone do not show distinctions in the citation tone,but are divided intoYinping and Yangping in tone sandhi in some areas.Furthermore,we descrie the phonetic features,analyse the rules andpropertiesof the tone change of Middle Chinese Pingtone and Ru tone of Huining dialect.
