Abstract

In this study, investigated students from Guangdong Baiyun University by randomly sampling to understand the Internet usage behavior and Internet addiction of University students. The results indicated that 17.1 percent of university students spend over five hours average daily. The highest ranked of Internet usage behavior is Internet chat. The proportion of Consistent with the diagnostic criteria for Internet Addiction ratio of 4.07 percent, the proportion of Internet addiction accounted for 8.65%, boys more than girls get into Internet addiction, there is significant gender differences. By exploring the main reason for Internet addiction of University students, it is advisable that University students, school, family and community common control the Internet addiction problem.
