Survey of Lexical Pragmatic Meaning in L2 Reading

According to lexical pragmatics,words in use involve processes of narrowing,approximation and metaphorical extension.They often communicate meanings different from the concepts they encode.As a result,understanding of them is a process of meaning enrichment,which will increase the difficulty of comprehension.This paper attempts to investigate how words with pragmatic meaning affect reading process of the L2 readers.
