Abstract

OBJECTIVE The aim of this study is to explore relationship between IgG antibodies and multi-allergen hypersensitivity.METHODS Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) was used to examine 16 kinds of specific IgG antibodies in sera among 72 individuals with multi-allergen hypersensitivity and 258 individuals who were allergic to only one allergen so as to explore relationship between IgG antibodies and multi-allergen hypersensitivity.IgE antibodies were measured by radioallergosorbent test(RAST).RESULTS Compared with normal controls,in individuals with multi-allergen hypersensitivity,IgG levels to BPO,BPA,APO,APA,AXO,AXA and egg were higher(P0.05).Compared with other allergic individuals, the positive rate of IgG as well as IgG levels to peanut, milk, pollen and mite was significantly lower in sera of individuals with multi-allergen hypersensitivity(P0.05),but as to the positive rate of IgE,no significant difference was found between the two groups.CONCLUSION IgG antibodies can be associated with multi-allergen hypersensitivity and they might be blocking antibodies.
