Abstract
The chromium white cast iron grinding balls with different components were casted in metal-based mold and the effects of chemical composition,heat treatment process on microstructure,toughness and hardness were studied.The results show that the chromium white cast iron with 3.231% of Cr,4.920% of C,quenched at 950 ℃ and tempered at 300 ℃ has a good combination of toughness and hardness.And with the higher carbon content,the hardness of cast iron increases,the toughness of cast iron decreases,with the tempering temperature increasing,the hardness of cast iron decreases,the toughness of cast iron increases.
