Abstract
Objective:To investigate the rules and trends of tooth attrition by studying the tooth wear of population in Neolithic Age from banpo museum.Method:904 teeth of 76 individuals in Banpo museum were measured by the Smith Knight's Tooth Wear Index.Analysing data with the SPSS 12.0 for windows soft.Result:The attrition in symmetrical tooth position was almost the same.The first molar has the most serious tooth wear and the third molar was the lightest.The tooth wear increased with age.In the whole attrited teeth,the proportion of score 2 was highest.The score of mean attrition of tooth was no significant difference in sex(P0.05).Conclusion:Their general attrition was more severe than modern people.
