Abstract
Objective Comparison study of CT perfusion was started for pre-and post-radiotherapy of esophageal cell carcinoma.A reliable method of the evaluation of the effects of radiation therapy in esophageal carcinoma was obtained, and it could provide evidence for the optimization of a reasonable treatment protocol, the determinant of curative effect and the evaluation of the patient′s prognosis. Methods Twenty patients with histologically diagnosed esophageal carcinoma underwent CT perfusion examinations one week before and one week after radiotherapy. The TDC of the ROI was drawn, and the data of BF,BV,MTT and PS were calculated. The effective group and invalid group were confirmed by follow-up visit.Statistical analyses were performed to respectively compare CT perfusion parameters between pre-and post-radiotherapy of effective group and invalid group of esophageal carcinoma.Statistical analyses were performed to compare CT perfusion parameters of pre-radiotherapy between effective group and invalid group. Results The response rate(RR)was eighty percent. There were significant differences in BF,BV and MTT between pre-and post-radiotherapy of effective group of esophageal cell carcinoma(P =0.000,P =0.022,P =0.005,P 0.05),and there was no significant difference in PS(P 0.05);There were no significant differences in BF,BV,MTT and PS between pre-and post-radiotherapy of invalid group(P 0.05);There were significant differences in BF and MTT before radiotherapy between effective group and invalid group(P=0.027,P=0.047,P0.05),and there were no significant differences in BV and PS(P 0.05).Conclusion There is a certain meaning in assessing the efficacy of radiotherapy of CT perfusion parameters. The patients who have high BF and low MTT are easy to get a better efficacy of radiotherapy, and it can provide evidence for the optimization of a reasonable treatment protocol, the determinant of curative effect and the evaluation of the patient's prognosis.
