Metformin in the Treatment of Young Patients with Hypertension

Objective To observe the date of the blood pressure,blood sugar and insulin resistance with titrated metformin therapy in the patients of youth primary hypertension.Methods Choose 78 cases with hypertension and random two groups,the control group and the treation group.The treation group were used metformin,captoprol and indapamide,but the control group were only used metrormin and captoprol.The change of hypertension,blood sugar and insuin were reflected before and after initiation of metformin treatment trough blood pressure monitoring,oral glucose tolerance test and insulin relaxing test.Results Metformin group had a lower activation of the systolic blood pressure and the diastolic blood pressure.The FBG,PBG,FINS,PINS,IRwith the treatment group decreased significantly with the control group(P0.05).Conclusion In additional to the conventional anti-hypertension therapy,metfomin can decrease the blood pressure of the youth primary hypertension,and also can improve insulin resistancel.
