An Empirical Analysis of Industrial Agglomeration of Xiamen,Zhangzhou and Quanzhou

Cluster hireresulting from industrial agglomeration not only benefits micro-economic entity,but also enhances regional economic competitiveness. At present,domestic related research concentrates more on the measurement of industrial space than on the measurement of industrial agglomeration in a specific region. Will the integration of Xiamen,Zhangzhou and Quanzhou intensify the economic competition among these three cities? This question can not be answered until we fully understand their industrial agglomeration,which is also the premise for a reasonable industrial policy. Therefore,the authors conduct an empirical comparative analysis of the industrial agglomeration of the three cities by adopting industrial agglomeration index,and put forward corresponding proposals..
