Abstract
Objective To use composite tissue transfer flap eyelid rebuild method in eyelid defect repair, and evaluate its usage in eyelid functional repair and appearance cosmetic. Meth- ods We used composite tissue transfer flap rebuild method in 10 patients with eyelid tumor. We made a parallel full-sickness inci- sion from 3~4 mm distance of upper or lower eyelid margin, made a free-formation skin flap and repair the defect of eyelid. We also used another skin flap in cases with large eyelid skin defect. The follow-up time after surgery was 3~38 months, in every pa- tient we observed the eyelid outlook and measured the open or close eyelid degree. Results Ten patients were all repaired per- fectly. The skin flap and the skin graft were all survival in good color and active freely. Conclusion This surgery can effectively meet the repair for part or full-sickness of upper or lower eyelid defect, first-stage surgery with first-stage healing. It makes a per- fect combination of function and appearance.
