Abstract

abstractJECTIVE To explore the way of operation on nasosinusitis caused by radiation.METHODS 46 cases with nasosinusitis caused by radiation were operated with nasal endoscope. RESULTS All the patients were follow-up for at least half years after operation. 19 of 46 cases were cured, 27 of 46 cases were improved. No massive haemorrhage occurred, but adhesion of nasal cavity (adhesion of operation cavity in 11 cases, adhesion of middle turbinate with nasal septum in 24 cases, adhesion of middle turbinate with nasal septum in 31 cases) occurred in all 46 patients as postoperative complications and were cured by regular dressing change. CONCLUSION The operation with nasal endoscope to management the nasosinusitis caused by radiation is feasible and favorable Skilled operation technique and regular accurate postoperative dressing change are important for the successful cure.
