Abstract
OBJECTIVE To explore the effect of Anwei Decoction(AD) on the expression of TFF1mRNAs in rats with chronic atrophic gastritis(CAG).METHODS Forty-eight healthy rats were randomly divided into 4 groups: normal control group,pathologic model group(group A),Anwei Decoction group(group B),and Weifuchun control group(group C).In addition to normal control group,CAG in all of them was induced by N-methy-N-Nit ro-N-Nitroguanidine(MNNG).Pathological changes of gastric mucosa were observed by optical microscope.The effects of drugs on the expression of the two kinds of mRNAs in rats' gastric mucosa were determined by real-time polymerase chain reaction(Real-time PCR).RESULTS In comparison to those in group A,the expression of TFF1mRNA was evidently enhanced in groups B and C(0.86±0.13vs0.54 ±0.10 and 0.83±0.10vs0.54 ±0.10 respectively,P0.01),and the expression of TFF1mRNA was significantly different from those in groups B and C(0.86 ±0.13vs0.83±0.10,P0.01).CONCLUSION Anwei decoction may treat CAG by enhancing the expression of TFF1mRNA in gastric mucosa.
