Abstract

Reservoir stochastic modeling is a new developing technique of oil-gas reservoir prediction, which can fully make use of the known information from geological and geophysical domains.According to reservoir attributes predicted, different stochastic models can be chosen to realize quantificational characterizing of reservoir and its heterogeneities in different scales and thus many results can be produced availably. The paper introduces several methods of reservoir stochastic modeling, their theories, advantages, disadvantages and its application status have been discussed.Aimed at characteristics of various reservoirs in our country, the development directions of reservoir stochastic modeling are pointed out.
