Acceptance and misunderstanding of the notion that beauty of poetry comes from emotion in history

The notion that beauty of poetry comes from emotion put forward by Lu Ji emphasized the quality of expressing emotion and of appreciating beauty of poetry from both form and content,defining the nature of poetry.His view produced great influence on poetry theories and writing in the following dynasties while there were always different attitudes toward this viewpoint.Although the Ming and Qing Dynasties saw Lu's view seriously understood and even criticized,his view on poetry remains a creation for Chinese classic poetry,and his contribution will never be ignored.
