Health status and health service demand of rural residents in a town of Fuyang

Objective To investigate farmer's health status and health service demand in a town of Fuyang.Methods 2,047 farmers of 3 administrative villages and 6 countryside were enrolled in the study,1,181of whom had household interview.Cluster random sampling was used.30 deputies(cadres of countryside and town,deputies of community health service center and deputies of rural residents) were invited to symposium.ResultsPrevalence of chronic disease of rural residents was high.Content of community health service needed to expand.Compensative mechanism was immoderate.Staff's diathesis is low.Health Education had failed to meet the needs of the majority of farmers.Conclusion We should increase investment in rural residents health project,promote and adjust health policies,speed up to found the team of talented person and develop appropriate evaluation system for rural communities,establish rural health education system,and improve the efficiency of health education.
