Abstract
The concept of ecosystem health is reviewed and its relationship with related ecological discipline is discussed. Ecosystem health refers to the level of an ecosystem being active, maintaining its organization and autonomy over time, performing its function normally, and being resilient to stress. The main assessment concepts of ecosystem health include vigor resilience, organization, maintenance of ecosystem service, management options, reduction of external input, damage to neighboring systems, and human health effects. The first step in the structure of indicators to assess ecosystem health should be the determination of precise indicator principles. According to the purpose of assessment and the principles of selecting indicator, discussed the suitable indicators to synthetically assess the wetland ecosystem health in governed landscape.
