Cultural Differences and Foreign Language Teaching

Culture and foreign language teaching are closely related. Culture teaching must be included in foreign language teaching so that students can properly use the foreign language in the particular context. Beginning with the relationship between culture and language, and analyzing the mistakes in cross-cultural communication and the reasons why these mistakes occurr, this paper mainly discusses the importance of cultural differences in foreign language teaching. Finally, the paper points out that students' ability of cross-cultural communication must be strengthened in foreign language teaching.
