Abstract
Objective To evaluate the potential role of multislice spiral computed tomography angiography(MSCTA) in the diagnosis of vertebral and basilar artery fenestration.Methods 13 patients with vertebral or basilar fenestration were evaluated retrospectively.Both CTA and DSA were performed on all cases.DSA result was performed as a standard reference.The accuracy of CTA was evaluated.Results 13 fenestrations of vertebral or basilar artery were demonstrated by both CTA and DSA.The position,shape and characterization based on CTA imaging were consistent with DSA.Conclusion CTA is a highly accurate,noninvasive imaging technique in diagnosis fenestration of vertebral and basilar artery.
