Abstract
The mature seeds of Juncus effusus L.cultivar Gangshan No.3 were used as explants to investigate the effects of different concentrations and combinations of hormones on the callus induction and plant regeneration. The results indicated that the callus induction rate of mat rush's seed was the highest on the medium with MS+ 2.0mg/L 2,4-D + 0.5mg/L BA,and the induction rate reaches 74.7%; the callus differentiation rate was the highest on the medium with MS + 2.0mg/L KT + 0.5mg/L IAA,and the differentiation rate was 83.3%.In addition, regeneration of root and bud formation was affected significantly by the medium with different ratio of IAA and KT.
