Abstract
Based on the framework of SCP (structure, conduct and performance), this paper analyzes the market structure, the conduct and actual performance of the automobile industry in China. It indicates that there are still many problems remaining unsolved, such as low cluster ratio; no scale-economy effect and excessive competition as a result of less constraint.
