Abstract
Few studies are carried out at present on the shear lag effect of the wide box girder with multiple cavities. It is even more important to study the impact of prestress. Through the 3D finite element analysis of a typical five-span prestressed wide concrete box girder bridge, and consideration of the spatial effect of the tendons, a comparison of the shear lag effect is made of that type of bridge with and without being prestressed. The result can be used for reference.
