Abstract
Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) are highly mutagenic and carcinogenic and more difficult to be biodegradable in the environment.Naphthalene was used as target to study the biodegradation effectiveness.A naphthalenedegrading strain N5 with better activity was isolated from the oil refinery wastewater, whose characteristics was observed,as well as its biochemical degradation of naphthalene conditions was optimized. The results showed that under the optimum conditions of 30 ℃,natural pH,(NH4)2SO4(0.05 mg/L) and inoculation inoculums(0.5%) and naphthalene mass concentration of 50 mg/L,the degradation rate of naphthalene reached 99.9% in 120 h,and it was better tolerated the high concentration of naphthalene.
