Abstract
Aim: To investigate the effect of nutritional knowledge and attitude on nutritional behavior among medical students so as to provide information for nutritional education.Methods:The procedures of understanding nutritional knowledge and diet practice were performed in 1 142 students from a technical college in Zhengzhou.Results: Most students lane lack of nutritional knowledge (those with low level was 46.6%), and few of them could make it in practice (those with low level was 54.1%). However, their attitudes towards nutrition were positive (those with high level was 69.5%). There had positive correlations between nutritional knowledge and nutritional attitudes (r=0.262, P=0.000), nutritional knowledge and diet behaviors (r=0.236,P=0.000), nutritional attitudes and diet behaviors (r=0.097,P=0.001).Conclusion: We should make a greater effort to improve the students' attitudes towards nutrition.
