Abstract
Objective To establish a new method for determination of styrene from polystyrene plastic moldings in food simulants. Methods A method was developed for the determination of styrene in food simulants(water and soyabean oil) by headspace gas chromatography-mass spectrometry directly. Results In two simulants, average recoveries ranged from 87.5 to 99.6% with relative standard deviations(RSD) between 2.5 and 6.4%.The detection limit was less than 0.01 μg/mL.Conclusion This method has good sensitivity, accuracy and reproducibility. The limit of quantitation of this method can meet the international standard.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
