Analysis on Detection Results of ALT and Anti-HCV among Volunteer Donors in Xinxiang Area and People Pattern

Abstract

[Objectives]To study the health status of volunteer donors in Xinxiang area, provide a scientific and reliable basis for recruitment of volunteer donor.[Methods]The date of volunteer donors, including sex, age, occupation and educational level, and blood detection results of ALT and anti-HCV from January 2006 to December 2008 were collected, the relationship between the two was analyzed statistically.[Results]①Among 91 434 volunteer donors, the total positive rate of blood detection was 2.41%, which was related to sex, age, occupation and educational level. ②The positive rate of 26~40 years old volunteer donors was obviously higher than that of other age groups. ③The positive rate of ALT and HCV of male donors were higher than that of female, and the differences were significant. ④The positive rate of freelancers and peasants was higher than that of other occupations. ⑤ The positive rate of volunteer donors with higher education background was lower than that of volunteer donors with or below middle school education.[Conclusion]The recruitment of low-risk volunteer donor is the important link of blood safety management, college students, young people, people with high school education and stable job are safe volunteer donors. The propaganda of knowledge about volunteer blood donation and infectious diseases control should be improved among volunteer donors with lower education background, peasants and freelancers, so as to encourage more right-age healthy people join the volunteer donor team.
