Influence of atorvastatin combined with trimetazidine on cardiac function and cytokines in patients with chronic heart failure

Objective:To explore the influence of atorvastatin combined with trimetazidine on cardiac function and cytokines in patients with chronic heart failure.Methods:A total of 120 cases of chronic heart failure who meet the conditions were selected.They were divided into control group and observation group,with 50 cases in each group.All patients were given conventional heart failure treatment;on this basis,patients in control group were given atorvastatin,while patients in observation group were given atorvastatin combined with trimetazidine.They were all treated for 6months.The cardiac function indexes as left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVEDD),left ventricular end systolic diameter(LVESD)and left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),cytokines including C-reactive protein(CRP),tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF alpha)and interleukin 6(IL-6),brain natriuretic peptide(BNP)and 6minutes walking distance before and after treatment were compared between two groups.Results:The levels of LVEDD,LVESD after treatment were significantly reduced,the LVEF was significantly increased after treatment in two groups compared with before treatment,the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).The improvement of cardiac function indexes in observation group was more than the control group(P0.05);The levels of CRP,TNF-α,IL-6and BNP were significantly reduced after treatment in two groups compared with before treatment,the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).The improvement of cytokines in observation group was more significant than the control group(P0.05);The 6minutes walk test was significantly increased after treatment in three groups compared with before treatment(P0.05).The improvement of 6minutes walk test in treatment group 1and group 2were more significant than the control group(P0.05),and 6 minutes walk test in observation group after treatment was significantly longer than control group(P0.05).Conclusions:Atorvastatin combined trimetazidine advantageous can further improve cardiac function in patients with heart failure.It also can reduce inflammation,and increase the exercise tolerance.
