Abstract
The superabsorbent composite was synthesized by aqueous solution copolymerization using acrylic acid(AA),acrylamide(AM),methyl acrylate(MA) and organic bentonite. The optimal copolymerization condition was achieved by investigating the effects of factors, such as neutralization of acrylic acid, monomer ratio, content of initiator, content of cross linker, content of organobentonite, and reaction temperature on the absorbency of the superabsorbent composite resin. The water absorption rate of superabsorbent resin prepared under such conditions was up to 850 g/g for water and 120 g/g for 0.9% salt water. The structure of composite superabsorbent resin was analyzed by XRD and TGA.
