Abstract
P(AA-AM-VAc)/OMMT superabsorbent composite resin was synthesized by aqueous solution polymerization based on acrylic acid(AA),acrylamide(AM),vinyl acetate(VAc) and organic montmorillonite(OMMT).The optimal polymerization conditions were ascertained by investigating the effects of such factors as polymerization temperature, monomer ratio, content of initiator, content of crosslinker, neutralization degree of acrylic acid, and content of organic montmorillonite on the absorbency of the superabsorbent composite resin. The results show that the water absorbency rate of the superabsorbent composite resin prepared under optimal conditions was up to 695 g/g for water and 113 g/g for mass fraction of 0.9% salt water.
