Abstract

Lifelong education is a new form of education with the development and progress of human society modernization.Lifelong education sublates essences and defects of all kinds of traditional education,contains all forms of traditional education in its form system at the same time and gives them new missions.Because of its essential attribute and special function,adult education plays an irreplaceable role in the formation and development of lifelong education.This article provides an overview of the development and progress of lifelong education in the world,and studies the function of adult education in lifelong education system from three aspects.
