Abstract

Based on the post-chemiluminescence reaction of the alkaline luminol–potassium periodate system, accompanied by the flow injection technique,a simple, rapid and sensitive flow injection post-chemiluminescence method was developed for epinephrine determination. The linear response range of the method was from 3.0×10-5 g/L to 1.2×10-4 g/L with a linear correlation coefficient of 0.996 9,and its detection limit was 3.0×10-7 g/L(3σ).The relative standard deviation for 5.0×10-5 g/L epinephrine was 2.0%(n=11).The method was applied to the determination of the content of epinephrine in pharmaceutical samples with satisfactory results.Furthermore, the possible mechanism of the chemiluminescence reaction was preliminarily studied with the CL kinetic characteristics and the CL spectra.
