Abstract

The effect of Manganese(Mn)on physiological characteristics of soybean had been studied with two soybean varieties(Zhechun 2 and 854-11). The supplementation of Mn was 6 kinds of concentration of 0,0.05,0.5, 5,30,50 mg/L. After Mn treatment for 16 days, malondialdehyde (MDA) content, proline content, polyphenol oxidase (POD) activities, content of solute sugar and soluble protein were determined. The results showed that when Mn concentration increased gradually, MDA content and proline content first decreased and then increased, POD activities increased and then decreased and the soluble protein content and soluble sugar content first increased, then decreased and last increased. There were some similarity on changes of physiological characteristics between two varieties of soybean.
