Abstract
Seismic behaviour of RC frame with special-shaped columns, especially in high intensity zones,is a key researched problem. In order to concert with compilation of National Technical Specification on RC Special-shaped Column and investigate adaptability of the structural system,a quasi-static test of a 1/3-scale model of three-storey RC frame with special-shaped columns in seismic fortification intensity 8 zone and kind Ⅲ site was conducted.Ductility, deformation and hysteretic property of the structure are studied. It is shown that seismic behaviour of this kind of frame is excellent.
