Abstract
Special-shaped column structures are favored by developers for cryptostructure of the pillars,no edges in the room, and they can increase effective use area of the building. After changing the original rectangular column structure to the special-shaped column structure, the paper analyses overall seismic performance of special-shaped column frame structure under the fortification and the rarely met earthquake intensities through dynamic elastoplastic time history analysis, and makes the preliminary evaluation. The results show that, the special-shaped column structure achieves basically the goal of desired seismic fortification.
