Analysis of water quality monitoring results of concentrative water supply in Hekou county

Objective:To investigate the water quality of concentrative water supply system in villages of Hekou County and provide scientific basis for the government and related departments to construct and manage the rural drinking water project.Methods:The basic situation of 46 natural villages was investigated.At the same time,the water quality of these villages was analyzed.Results:The qualified rate in 736 drinking water samples from the villages was 12.91%.The water quality during rainy season and dry season had no significant difference(P0.05).The quality of tap water and peripheral water had no significant difference too(P0.05).Conclusion:The hygiene situation of concentrative water supply system of the villages in Hekou County was not satisfactory and the drinking water was contaminated seriously by the microorganisms,which demonstrated that it was necessary to strengthen the management of healthy drinking water project and water disinfection in the rural areas.
